Three Tips (From a real NM Recruiter) to Nail Your Interview

There’s no better way to celebrate Thanksgiving than beginning a new career you’ll be thankful for.

But applying for jobs can be stressful, especially when the time comes to sit down for an interview. To help you feel prepared as you begin this process, we asked Greta, one of our recruiters, to provide her tips on how to stand out in an interview.

1. Dress to impress

First impressions are everything! Be sure to choose appropriate attire that makes you feel confident and comfortable, even if your interview is virtual. When you look good, you feel good!

2. Preparation is key

Be sure to review the job description and responsibilities and tailor your answers to exactly what the company is looking for. Be prepared to ask your interviewer 2-3 questions – this will show that you are engaged and eager!

3. “Thank You” goes a long way

After the interview is over, feel free to reach out to your interviewers with a thank you, letting them know what excites you and the contributions you can offer to the role.

4. Be your authentic self

This is your chance to show us who you are as a person. While it is always great to learn about your skills and backgrounds, we also want to see how you would fit into NM’s unique culture.
