About the Role
We are seeking a Software Engineer III to design, build, and support modern technology solutions for our Investment Operations area within Institutional Investments. Investment Operations is responsible for supporting the day‑to‑day processing, validation, and reporting of investment activity, ensuring that accurate and timely financial data flows from trading systems through accounting, reporting, and downstream consumers.
In this role, you will work extensively with investment and financial data sets, building scalable, data‑driven solutions that support critical operational and accounting processes. You will leverage AI‑assisted development, modern engineering practices, and our Snowflake‑based Investment Data Platform to deliver reliable, enterprise‑grade capabilities.
This is a hybrid, onsite role, requiring regular in‑office collaboration with the team while allowing flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week.
You will be a hands‑on engineer working in a collaborative Agile environment, partnering with product managers and engineers across the Institutional Investments domain. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving data‑centric problems, improving engineering practices, and growing toward broader technical ownership over time.
What You’ll Do
Design, develop, test, and support software solutions that power Investment Operations and downstream financial processes
Build scalable, data-driven solutions leveraging Snowflake and modern data engineering patterns
Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to drive efficiency and accelerate delivery
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across development, integration, and deployment pipelines
Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to engineering standards, security requirements, and best practices
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, continuously improving build, test, and deployment workflows
Participate in technical discussions and contribute to design and architectural decisions as systems evolve
Partner with cross-functional teams across Institutional Investments to deliver integrated solutions
Actively contribute within an Agile delivery model using tools such as Jira
What You’ll Bring to the Role
Required Qualifications
2–4 years of professional software engineering experience using modern languages, tools, and practices
1–2 years of experience working with financial, investment, or accounting data
Strong understanding of core engineering principles including design, testing, and maintainability
Experience working in an Agile environment with hands-on use of Agile delivery tools (e.g., Jira)
Analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to break down complex technical problems
Able to engage confidently with business users and engineering partners, clearly articulating ideas, asking the right questions, and building relationships that support effective cross‑team delivery
Technical Experience (Intermediate Proficiency in Several of the Following)
Programming and scripting languages SQL, Python, Java, JavaScript, .NET
Data platforms and tooling: Snowflake, dbt, data pipelines, SQL-based analytics
DevOps and CI/CD practices and tools
Cloud-native or modern application development patterns
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools, especially GitHub Copilot
Exposure to system-wide or cross-platform architectural considerations
Experience supporting production systems in a regulated or financial services environment

Software Development: Creates and maintains applications, frameworks, and other software components via designing, programming, testing, and bug fixing; writes and maintains source code for all processes in the software development life cycle and facilitates the automation and orchestration of disparate systems. Leverage TDD (Test Driven Development) and BDD (Behavior Driven Development) methodologies to ensure unit, integration, and end-to-end testing with appropriate level of coverage is met.Software Problem Solving: Conducts in-depth analysis of technology needs, issues, and roadblocks within assigned scope, applies experience and expertise to apply best practices, explore the “art of possible”, and deliver blueprints for the most effective and efficient solutions. Detects and removes existing and potential errors in software code or a system that can cause it to behave unexpectedly or operate incorrectly. Leverages common software tools/debuggers and logical thinking for root causing issue.
