Job Title: Technology Operations Consultant

Job Description: The Technology Operations Consultant at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in Franklin, Wisconsin will provide data driven IT Change Enablement consultation to teams so as to realize team/enterprise vision in line with ITIL best practices. Provide enhancement requirements for IT Service Management tool to ensure compliance to Change Enablement policy and processes. Provide agile Change Enablement solutions to DevOps teams in the Enterprise. Create/disseminate online training content and provide in-person coaching for Change Enablement processes and best practices. Define, measure, and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) establishing success of Change Enablement process and operation within the enterprise. Create dashboards to drive action. Provide evidence of compliance during internal and external annual audit of the process and operations. Perform Quarterly Quality Checks and disseminate reports to Enterprise teams’ Managers/Directors highlighting areas of improvements. Carry out daily Process governance activities and follow-ups with applicable change practitioners/managers. Facilitate daily Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings to carry review of medium and high risk IT changes Create and maintain pre-approved templates of repetitive low risk changes across teams in the enterprise. Implement automated housekeeping jobs for auto-closure, deletion and cancellation of change tickets based on business rules. Provide thought Leadership towards continuous improvement in Change Enablement processes and practices in close consultation with Guild comprising of Infrastructure and Application teams’ representatives. Provide on-call support for resolution of Critical Incidents likely to be associated with recently implemented IT changes.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mechanical Engineering or a directly related field plus six years of systems administration experience. Six years of experience must include three years of experience with each of the following: (1) Service Management (ITIL); (2) developing and document scripts; (3) developing estimates for support or projects; (4) Release and Change Management; (5) ITSM tools including Cherwell or ServiceNow; and (6) supporting and troubleshooting cloud-based AWS, Azure applications, or distributed deployments running on Windows or Linux.
