Senior Program Manager - Client Experience

We are looking for a Senior Program Manager to help manage various strategic aspects with a focus on a specific large track of work. Create and apply process and structure within a multi-year, scaled and cross functional journey. Solve problems and remove impediments for the teams to optimize flow. Candidates must have strong organization, communication, problem solving, and analytical skills. We are also seeking someone with the ability to understand the larger picture and how all the pieces fit together. Must have passion to build great relationships across a large team and independently drive recommendations, action and solutions. Specific experience with Investment Products and Services and vendor integrations will help you excel in this space.

• Be accountable for aligning one or more large, complex programs consisting of multiple efforts. You will also be defining the program structure and how we deliver on the program objectives.

• Makes connections across teams and work streams to drive identification and facilitation of interdependencies.

• Drives for clarity on objectives, priorities and measures.

• Be accountable for identifying, assessing and mitigating program risks and issues, and removing impediments.

• Provide visibility and transparency of our work and our plans to leadership, using data to make successes and challenges visible, and to drive insights and action plans to continually adjust and aggressively pursue our program goals.

• Drive the organization to world-class agile program delivery through developing and leveraging tools and techniques to enable end-to-end value delivery and the best ongoing rollout experience for our field and clients.

• Foster a positive working environment of empowerment, inclusion, and engagement all while striving to deliver solutions that align with the corporate strategy.

• Leverage data to inform, guide, and/or support business decisions

• Experience in insurance and investments is strongly desired

• Prior program management experience (preferably at Northwestern Mutual)

• An ability to work as part of a team and develop strong, trusted working relationships across design, engineering, product, and the business

• Strong knowledge and experience with both Agile and Waterfall concepts

• Ability to use both qualitative and quantitative data in decision making and business case development

• A minimum of 3 years of project management experience in technology and/or business functions. Working knowledge of program management / agile tooling.

• Experience with project management methodologies or SDLC (systems development life cycle)

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
