Summary:
The Fraud Analytics and Reporting Consultant will identify, access, gather, and analyze data from multiple internal and external sources to provide quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting of fraud events, patterns, insights, and trends to drive business decisions and actions. As a member of the Anti-Fraud Team, a primary objective of the position is to develop and shape the fraud analytics and reporting program, processes and procedures.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Investigates existing enterprise data sources, develops queries to obtain relevant data, and develops tools to analyze and identify irregularities or trends that may indicate attempted or actual fraud.
- Stays abreast of financial crimes risk trends, relevant regulations and compliance standards to help ensure we’re continually advancing our analytics program in line with enterprise needs and expectations.
- Applies new perspectives, creative problem solving, and inter-departmental connections to develop and improve anti-fraud analytics- likely to include implementation of artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities.
- Provides strategic and tactical input and develops recommendations for anti-fraud program data analysis and reporting.
- Designs and develops reports and dashboards based on interpretation of findings and business client needs.
- Coaches, mentors and develops peers and provides quality feedback.
- Assists with incident consultation and fraud technology efforts, as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Statistics, business or related field.
- Minimum of five years of data analytics experience with the proven ability to build analytical tools that access data from multiple sources.
- Expertise in development and analytical tools such as SAS, SQL, MS Excel, R or other tools.
- Experience with visualization tools, such as Power BI, preferred.
- Proven excellence in problem solving, research, quantitative analysis and analytical working techniques.
- Strong aptitude and desire for learning new platforms, development, analytic and presentation tools and interest in independently designing and developing deliverables while collaborating with the team and business partners.
- High degree of organizational agility and comfort around senior leadership, demonstrated by the ability to influence, negotiate, communicate and collaborate with all levels of employees.
- Ability to be responsive to changing business needs, manage and prioritize concurrent assignments and handle ambiguity.
- Strong analytical capability and ability to meet deadlines.
