What's the role?

As a technical, hands-on Test Engineer, your job is to work within our NMConnect application. NMConnect is web portal of various applications used by our financial advisors to help serve our clients achieve financial security.

You will be under the mentorship of a team with an already-established, mature testing process. Your role will be that of a "full-stack" Test Engineer - someone who has a strong appreciation and skill in manual/automation testing with the capability of writing performance tests (time and training is allotted after hiring to learn our automation framework).

Role Responsibilities:

  • Test integration of data flowing from source to NMConnect

  • Test microservices for data and Test UI for data verification

  • Review Acceptance Criteria or requirements provided

  • Coordinate with Product Managers to get appropriate requirements needed for testing Coordinate with DevOps teams to set up test environments

  • Build the test scenarios, test cases and test data for each story or ticket

  • Build and execute test scripts manually first

  • Automate Test cases based on overall automation approach as defined by Test Lead

  • Build and maintain various test metrics/artifacts. (reqmt vs test cases vs defects)

Your general milestones are the following:

First Month:

  • Understand Application, Business work flows and data flow. Learn Automation Frame work

  • Execute manual test and existing automation suite

  • Build new Automation scripts.

  • Review test results of daily automation run and report issues

Up to three months:

  • Independently automate test scripts

  • Build all required test artifacts for various Metrics Report Defects and related reports

Bring your best! What this role needs:

  • 4+ years of experience with web-based application testing

  • 3+ years of Automation test case creation, test execution and results reporting experience required

  • API Manual Testing experience using Rest API & Postman & API Automation testing required

  • Automation knowledge of Cucumber, JavaScript, NodeJS, JSON, CICD, Selenium, WebDriverIO

  • Experience of testing cloud AWS will be a plus

  • Experience with Jira and Xray or similar test management suites a plus
