Job Profile Summary:

The Sr. Director, Consumer Web and Personalization is responsible for building the Consumer MarTech vision and bringing it to life. This individual will own all aspects of the Consumer Martech vertical, inclusive of our roadmap to develop a best-in-class MarTech stack, technical strategy and implementation, driving positive relationships with product and engineering, team management, and oversight of 3rd party vendor relationships.

This resource should be passionate about building tools and systems that enable marketing to work more efficiently and thoughtfully in pursuit of new client acquisition. You will be key in enhancing our personalization strategy on NM.com, improving our prospecting capabilities, and driving continued improvements through testing and experimentation. This role will be a key point person that connects and synthesizes opportunities and challenges between the business, product, and engineering.

Primary Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Build a multi-year consumer Martech roadmap with the objective of building a more connected, efficient, and effective digital experience for consumers.

  • Own Martech strategy for the Consumer Web and Personalization vertical. Provide thought leadership on trends and tools in digital marketing and their impact in our industry. Evaluate customer research, market conditions and competitor data to drive digital strategy and execution.

  • Accountable for the successful implementation of marketing strategies across nm.com and our individual advisor websites that will increase consumer and field satisfaction.

  • Guide the strategy around evaluating new capabilities and collaborating with the Field Data Integrations & Servicing teams to bring these new tools to life.

  • Detailed understanding of Martech tools, how to apply existing or new capabilities within our ecosystem, and strong ability to see the big picture yet understand the details enough to guide conversations between cross-functional partners.

  • Coordinate with key authorities in SEO, Content Development, and Analytics to drive search performance in Google and measure performance on NM digital platforms.

  • Partner on developing a multi-year strategy for the implementation of a Centralized Data Platforms to unify disparate systems into a single source of truth for our customer.

  • Ensure teams are equipped with tools and resources to deliver on key initiatives; partner cross-functionally to drive business outcomes.

  • Be a trusted partner and work cross-functionally across the organization building strong relationships with Marketing, Product, and Engineering to advance core projects and initiatives.

  • Manage 3rd party partner relationships inclusive of budget, contract negotiations, and overall management.

  • Continue to enhance our digital properties through testing and modernization of the usability, design, content, and conversions on website in partnership with the web marketing team.

  • Be seen as a trusted leader with the ability to influence, develop and maintain a highly effective team.

Qualifications, knowledge, skills and/or abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or MIS or related field. MBA is a plus.

  • 10+ years of experience in a digital marketing role.

  • Experience leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives.

  • Ability to make recommendations that directly impact business outcomes.

  • Demonstrated success working in matrixed environments; while building and maintaining positive relationships with peers and partners across multiple business areas.

  • Proven ability to lead teams; and develop a team of high performers.

  • Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, digital tools, strategy, and standard processes.

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, javascript, Adobe Analytics a plus.

  • Financial services experience a plus.

  • Project and vendor management with contract negotiation experience a plus.
