Job Title: Senior Test Engineer

Job Description: The Senior Test Engineer at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in Franklin, Wisconsin will develop automation scripts using JavaScript, Node.js, JSON, Cucumber, gherkin, Selenium, WebDriver.io, GitLab CI, Docker, and Kubernetes in our proprietary Kevlar framework. Create testing artifacts (test strategies, test plans, test cases) using Jira, Xray, and Confluence, and capture and report on quality metrics that paint a picture for team's delivery health. Lead and guide the team using efficient and effective approaches that ensure high quality software delivery. Daily coordination and execution of all testing activities for the application that is built on a tech stack that includes Microservices Architecture, AWS SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, DynamoDB streams, AWS Lambdas, AWS S3, Noje.js, React, and redux. Improve the testing practices across the entire group (currently 13 scrum teams) and provide critical support and mentoring for junior members of the teams. Take additional responsibilities for test engineering and play a technical lead role over a number of applications and scrum teams in the area.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Software or Electronics Engineering, or a directly related field, plus 7 years of software quality experience. 7 years of experience must include 7 years of experience with each of the following: (1) VBScript, C#, Java, Java Script, or node.js; (2) automating web applications using tools like selenium, webdriver.io, and cucumber; (3) microservice/API testing using tools like postman; (4) developing and contributing to shared automated testing frameworks; (5) managing source code using Git CLI; (6) developing test strategies, test plans, test cases, and performing scripted and exploratory test execution; and (7) delivering in an Agile and/or DevOps enabled environment.
