Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

Job Description: The Senior Software Engineer at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in Milwaukee, WI will configure and customize Microsoft Dynamics CRM, including enhancements, upgrades, and defect fixes, using C#, .NET, Java Script and SQL Server. Work on an agile team to analyze development or configuration projects to determine effort sizing, timing, and effect on other software functionality. Use Git for version control and Jira to plan, track, and manage agile software development projects. Choose customization strategies to balance end user ease of use, overall system performance, and maintainability. Partner with dedicated Microsoft resources to research new technologies in the Dynamics ecosystem. Partner with in-house support group and Microsoft to actively troubleshoot issues, pursue workarounds, and implement long-term fixes.

Minimum Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field plus 9 years of experience as a software developer or system administrator. The 9 years of experience must include 6 years of experience with each of the following:  (1) configuring, customizing, and fixing defects for Microsoft Dynamics, including the core product and following add-ons: Power Platform, Common Data Service, Microsoft Flow, Canvas Apps, and PowerApps Component Framework; (2) customizing Microsoft Dynamics using C#, .NET, Java Script and SQL Server; (3) working on an agile team; (4) analyzing development or configuration projects to determine effort sizing, timing, and effect on other software functionality; and (5) using Git and Jira.
