Summary
As a Senior IT Governance, Risk & Compliance Analyst, you are a motivated and strategic contributor with a strong background in IT governance operations and policy management. As a subject matter expert for the IT Governance Operations team, you will:

Create information protection policies and standards.

Evaluate and review deviations from information protection policies and standards.

Manage the lifecycle and administration of policies and standards.

Promote awareness of policies and standards.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Support the implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive governance framework for IT policies, standards, and procedures.

Oversee the entire policy and standard lifecycle, including creation, review, revision, approval, communication, and retirement.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure policies and standards align with business objectives, regulatory requirements (NYDFS 23 NYCRR 500), and industry best practices such as NIST 800-53 and NIST CSF.

Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure policies and standards are communicated effectively, supporting training and awareness initiatives.

Stay updated on emerging trends, regulations, and best practices related to IT governance and proactively integrate them into the organization's processes.

Identify opportunities to streamline governance processes, optimize workflows, and automate policy and standard management tasks.

Champion continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation and operational excellence within the IT governance function.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in MIS, cybersecurity or related field
-
Five or more years of experience in information systems, systems audit, or GRC with a demonstrated knowledge in policies, standards, and processes

Proven ability to design and implement IT policies and standards.

Strong ability to independently identify and resolve critical and complex issues through effective problem-solving skills.
-
Strong ability to maintain and strengthen relationships; ability to effectively influence and negotiate with internal and external partners.

Proven organizational savvy with demonstrated tact and diplomacy.
-
Proven ability in dealing with ambiguity.

Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC or similar are highly desirable.
