Senior Director, Planning Experience Sub Journey

The Sr. Director, Planning Experience Sub Journey leads the strategy, vision and success criteria for one of our Planning Experience Sub Journeys (Planning, Distribution). The role examines current internal capabilities, market trends, and client and field needs to create a multi-year strategy for the sub journey, and partners with product, design and other journeys to bring the vision to life.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for delivering the target sub journey experience for all products and channels

  • Collaborate with execution teams to ensure alignment with Journey experience objectives

  • Responsible for defining and monitoring sub-journey strategy, OKRs, and operational metrics for sub journey across all channels

  • Responsible for the experience portfolio and outcomes for sub journey

  • Accountable for the business case development to support experience outcomes

  • Accountable for documenting experience map across sub journey to align to end-to-end experience map while aligning outcomes to key client/field Value Creation

  • Responsible for development of end-to-end sub journey Theme and Epic based roadmaps

  • Accountable for developing fact base for sub journey (to include VoC)

  • Define the vision, channel strategy, and Themes for sub journey through synthesizing research and feedback (VoC and testing feedback loop)

  • Define and prioritize themes to capture strategic changes to the end-to-end experience

  • Identify epics to achieve desired theme outcomes and prioritize based on business value

  • Refine epics and prioritize in partnership with Product Teams

Bring Your Best! What this role needs:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Strategy focused roles such as Experience Design, Management Consulting or Planning & Analysis roles. A graduate degree is a plus

  • 7 - 10 years of experience in driving data driven and targeted customer experiences

  • Client-centric mindset and excellent strategic agility along with managing vision and purpose

  • Strong communication and organizational influence skills

  • Proven ability to create multi-year transformational strategies

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, gain confidence and work collaboratively with colleagues and leaders at all levels to identify and resolve issues


This job is not covered by the existing Collective Bargaining Agreement.
