Summary
NM is on a journey to revolutionize the way that data is used at the company. This role will lead a team of data consultants who will shape and drive the enterprise data strategy across the various business domains at NM. They will plan, coordinate and actively manage the delivery plans for complex, cross-functional technical solutions that generally span multiple, technical products. The team will ensure the end-to-end plans are inclusive of all of the changes needed to technical products in support of initiative outcomes.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Shape, evangelize, and drive the multi-year enterprise data strategy and influence senior leaders to gain buy-in
Lead the strategy and development of high impact data solutions for the enterprise
Tailor specifics of strategy to each domain’s individualized needs
Develop standards for monitoring and measuring the quality and execution of data transformation to ensure outcomes and results are achieved
Communicate overall progress to senior leadership
Takes initiative to anticipate opportunities, propose new initiatives, develop partner roadmaps, and strengthen partner relationships
Facilitate cross domain cooperation and consistency
Elevate common technical needs to CDA product team
Ensure domains understand CDA data product offerings and extend value into the domain
Manage relationships between organizational teams involving senior leaders
Responsible for a full range of manager responsibilities including communication, coaching and staff development, performance management, salary administration and staffing decisions.
Leads the functional management to ensure optimum effectiveness and quality by managing adherence to strategies, goals, budgets, operating policies and procedures.
Requirements
Master’s degree or equivalent experience in mathematics, business, statistics, economics, computer science or related fields
9-14 years of professional experience leading complex efforts and/or experience in the data/management consulting space
5+ years of experience building and managing teams
Lead and manage to key business deliverables
Drive out strategy and thought leadership jointly with the senior level business partners
Proven ability to build rapport, negotiate, gain the confidence and work successfully with business leaders across the company
Proven ability to lead decision making process through idea sharing and consensus building
Experience in coaching and mentoring staff members
Proven track record in meeting aggressive deadlines
Experience prioritizing tasks across multiple projects to select the highest value outcomes for the company
Proven management skills including negotiating, leadership, delegation, planning, and organization
