Senior Director, Advisor Practices

Our integrated approach helps build an achievable, flexible financial plan, with the right mix of insurance products and investment strategies to help clients reach their goals. 

As the Advisor Practices, Senior Director, you will lead a team 2 and work closely with our strategic partners responsible for supporting Relationship Management, Succession Planning, Experience Advisors Transition, and Onboarding. Additionally, the next level leader will drive the internal succession workshop driving work associated with our business transition, valuation, and lending solutions.

Primary Duties & Accountabilities: 

  • Build and refine programs in support of MYS initiatives and / or CD priorities such as:
    • Private Client Group
    • Advisor Desktop
    • Advancing Advisor Practices
  • Manage and prioritize project workstreams and partners across the enterprise to determine project definition, business objectives and requirements, and drive alignment.  
  • Promote business continuity programs and opportunities for advisor retention and improved revenue through internal succession.
  • Ensure alignment and collaboration among key home office, 3rd party strategic partners, and field constituencies, including top advisor practices as well as field leaders (Managing Partners and Managing Directors), and our formal system of field associations. 
  • Demonstrate strong financial stewardship through budget management and prioritization.  
  • Develop talent and ensure an inclusive and engaged team environment. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Finance required; MBA preferred 
  • 10 – 15 + years of experience in strategic consulting, strategy and operations, or financial services required, with deep understanding of advisor practices and teams; strategy formulation; sales and relationship management 
  • Experience with distribution and sales/compensation aspects of products, marketing, and competitive intelligence 
  • Proven ability to provide leadership and set strategic direction across multiple areas 
  • Capable and credible in serving as leader of high visibility field-facing initiatives 
  • High degree of people and project management competencies and a track record of building high performing teams 
  • Strong communication, negotiation, administrative and leadership skills with all levels of management and across all product lines, entities, and the field 
  • Experience in portfolio and/or project management, strategic and operational planning, and leading multiple complex projects with organization-wide impact
