Senior Data Engineer (MDM focus)

Data is a critical driver of this approach, and a cornerstone for how NM engages with its customers. We are seeking a Data Engineer specializing in Master Data Management solutions to drive improvements in our client data domain. This role will aid in the deployment and operationalization of a Master Data Management solution.

What you’ll get to do:

  • Collaborate with source system technical owners, Product Owners, and Infrastructure resources to deploy and operationalize a Master Data Management (MDM) solution for our Client data domain.

  • Collaborate with partners to build and deploy data integration solutions to provide data in and out of MDM solution hosted on a cloud data ecosystem

  • Create designs to integrate data following established data integration patterns

  • Complete design, code review and test case reviews to improve and set the bar for the quality of the product delivery.

  • Hands on development with various technologies including MDM, AWS capabilities, Kafka, Java and others

  • Review and understand issues impacting the team or our client data product and propose plans for remediation

  • Monitor and handle support incidents including root cause analysis

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related field

  • Passion and experience working in the data space specifically in Master Data Management solutions focused on identity resolution and golden client record creation/survivorship.

  • Understanding of core Master Data Management styles and their application

  • Experience with relational data engineering eco-systems

  • Understanding of batch and real-time data integration patterns including ETL experience (Informatica, SSIS, DataStage, etc), data replication, data streaming, virtualization, etc

  • Experience working with relational databases including writing queries, understanding data models, and being able to profile the data to gain understanding of the data

  • Good communication skills to summarize information, issues, and recommendations with customers, team members, external data providers, and leadership

  • Individuals who show a strong sense of ownership for their deliverables

  • Ability to work across the organization and communicate effectively to various levels

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

This job is not covered by the existing Collective Bargaining Agreement.
