Senior Creative Producer

At Northwestern Mutual, we are strong, innovative and growing. We invest in our people. We care and make a positive difference.

At Northwestern Mutual, we believe relationships are built on trust.  That our lives and our work matter. These beliefs launched our company over 160 years ago. Today, they're just a few of the reasons why people choose to build careers at Northwestern Mutual.

We're strong and growing.  In a company with such a long and storied history, this may be the most exciting and significant time to be a part of Northwestern Mutual. We're strong, innovative and growing.

We invest in our people.  We provide opportunities for employees to grow themselves, their career and in turn, our business.

We care.  We make a positive difference in our communities. Nationally, thousands have benefitted from our support of research and programs to fight childhood cancer. Each year, our Foundation, employees and financial representatives donate time, talent and financial support to causes they're passionate about.

About this role:

We’re looking for a Senior Producer to join our growing in-house creative group made up of some of the hardest working, most creative people from some of the most prestigious, award-winning agencies across the country. Joining this team means you’ll have the rare opportunity to affect every aspect of the brand and play a significant role in crafting it.

As the main link between the Creative team and senior business leads on one of the more major workstreams, you’ll guide the creative process from strategy development and briefing through concepting and delivery, ensuring that all parties are aligned along the way. And you’ll partner closely with the Creative Directors to ensure brand standards and quality expectations are always met.

The right candidate will:

  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Demonstrate strong project management skills – developing timelines, outlining resource requirements, and communicating project status and risk.

  • Have experience managing interdisciplinary teams of copywriters, art directors, experience designers, and third-party vendors across a wide variety of deliverables (including print, digital/social, web, events, and video).

  • Help our business leads translate business goals and strategy into a creative brief that clearly articulates the assignment.

  • Have exceptional communication skills, experience managing relationships with senior stakeholders, and the ability to negotiate productive resolutions to conflicts.

  • Have a passion for delivering the highest quality creative, with a point-of-view on how the work can best achieve the department’s goals.

  • Design and implement processes as needed to best serve the needs of the assigned workstreams.

  • Have 5-8 years of experience working in a creative agency or in-house creative team. Experience working with clients in the financial industry or in a B2C marketing organization a plus.

  • Have a Bachelor's degree.

Some cool things to know about working with us:

  • Fortune 100 perks: You’ll have the opportunity to shape a Fortune 100 brand, with the benefits, bonuses, and career growth opportunities that go along with it.

  • Sweet new office: Think all sit/stand desks, tons of sensible break-out workspaces, Zoom-ready conference rooms, game room (in NYC), fitness center (in MKE), stocked kitchen with snacks, coffee, and beers galore, and views for days (of both the Hudson and Lake Michigan).

  • Normal hours: We’re not beholden to the vagaries of clients (we are the clients), so you’re not working through Memorial Day, Labor Day, Turkey Day, MLK Day, Saturday and every other day that most people get to take off and enjoy. And for the most part, we’re done by 6.

  • Highest quality work: We set the bar high since we’re alumni of some of the best agencies. We only create work that we are proud of. The goal: create award-winning work that rivals any agency.

  • Variety of projects: Not only will you have the opportunity to work on all sorts of projects, you’ll get to see them through to completion.

  • Great pay package, 401K, Company sponsored retirement plan, Educational assistance, Performance based incentive pay, Medical, dental and vision insurance, Parental leave, Caregiver time off….and more
