Search Analyst / Editor

We're looking for an experienced Search Analyst/Editor who will apply search best practices to improve and modernize our Enterprise Search platform utilized by the organization's critical business applications. The role requires an agile team mentality, patience and persistence to solve complex problems, ability to get things done quickly but thoughtfully, and dig deep into technology. You will move between diverse tasks, focusing on test driven development and continuous integration practices, while helping to bring out the best in those around you.

What's the role?

  • Apply tune relevancy, NLP, search cards, query intent, etc.

  • Maintain search cards, promoted results, and apply search optimization tuning.

  • Manage our feedback listening posts on our search experience sites.

  • Manage our teams' request intake tracker.

  • Create/Update/Interpret/Distribute reporting and analytics from the search platforms we support.

  • Provide feedback to others on classification.

Bring your best! What this role needs:

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Information Science, MIS, Business or related field; or related work experience

  • Experience with Search Engine Optimization

  • An understanding of information organization, taxonomy, and information retrieval approaches (Boolean searches, wildcard searches, different search techniques).

  • Familiarity with basic HTML preferred.

  • Familiarity with Lucidworks Fusion a plus.

  • Experience with Microsoft Search and SharePoint Classic Search.

  • Four or more years of experience/knowledge of business operations/ processes to include analysis, design, documentation, using industry best practices and standards.

  • Demonstrated flexibility to adjust to changing business needs by effectively managing and prioritizing concurrent assignments

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve critical issues through effective problem solving skills.

  • Strong ability to develop and leverage relationships; ability to effectively influence and negotiate with internal and external partners.

  • Excellent communication skills focused on facilitation of meetings; ability to deliver informative, well-organized documentation and presentations and ability to effectively communicate in difficult and sensitive situations.
