Summary:

Lead the external labor resource demand management for NM Technology and be the trusted partner for the technology teams around demand planning, forecasting and coordination for their external labor sourcing needs.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Act as a central point-of-contact for the technology teams to plan, review, analyze & manage demand for external labor

  • Work with the technology teams to build an accurate pipeline of demand, prioritizing demand, and smoothing peaks and troughs to stay within contractual volume limits

  • Challenges business demand where appropriate to align with overall workforce strategy goals and objectives

  • Generate management reports/dashboards with necessary analysis for governance review

  • Escalate and track actions from Governance forums

  • Collaborate with technology teams and vendor manager/s to identify demand patterns and proactive mapping of vendor resources with demands

  • Work with the vendor to help them understand the business strategy and any forecasted changes to demand

  • Works with the vendor manager to communicate resource constraints and skill deficiencies

  • Support the sharing of knowledge, best practices and learning within the field of demand management

  • Work with the technology team to develop and propose materials that can be used across other demands (knowledge transfer)


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in Business, IT or related field preferred OR a significant amount of directly related work experience beyond the minimum required for the position.

  • 6+ years of previous experience in a related tech operations role

  • Prior experience in external labor demand management preferred

  • Strong and broad understanding of technology functions (software dev and support, infrastructure, data, information security, etc.) and various delivery methods (agile, waterfall, DevOps, etc.).

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Good financial / analytical skills

  • Program management and decision-making skills

  • Experience with global outsourcing at highest level

  • Strong category and general procurement background

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with internal and external stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work
