The Performance Analyst role will be responsible for performance analysis and attribution across a broad array of private asset classes including private investment grade debt, private bank loans, junior debt, and private equity. Key responsibilities include the development of analytical tools and analysis to help explain drivers of long-term investment performance, perform trend analysis on portfolio company key financial metrics, and support other analytics needs of portfolio managers and the investment team. This includes thinking about business in different ways and digging into the “why” of portfolio results.

Knowledge, skills, abilities

  • Four-year undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics or mathematics and a track record of academic excellence.
  • Previous work experience in investment performance analytics role preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI
  • Ability to scrub, process, and explain data
  • Broad knowledge of investments
  • Intellectual curiosity – As business trends grow/evolve, understand the reasons behind those results
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills including potential presentations to leadership
  • Detail oriented
  • Self-directed mindset – Ability to proactively take on current work while assessing/creating new solutions or efficiencies
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others
