Summary
Reports to the Assistant Director of Facilities and is responsible for planning, staffing, directing, and coordinating employees and contractors in the areas of electrical infrastructure (high, medium, low voltage switchgear), building automation programming, maintenance shutdowns, and utility work in a 24/7 operation. Provides technical consulting and support to the enterprise and team members for said equipment/systems. Initiates/advises technical changes and process improvements to ensure a safe, comfortable, and over-all high-quality environment in the most energy- and cost-efficient manner. The facility manager stays abreast of industry standards and incorporates changes into operation and is a member of the Business Continuity Plan recovery team.
This resource oversees and ensures efficient, safe operations related to facilities at the Franklin, Milwaukee campuses and the corporate hanger. Also compliments the on-site manager in NY as a consultant. Manages 1st , 2nd and 3rd shift employees and is responsible for 24/7 operations. They will also be responsible for the effective management of staff and continued work towards furthering our focus on diversity and inclusion.
The Manager of Facilities works with team leads in coordinating and directing the day-to-day diverse activities for the Franklin and Milwaukee campuses. Ensures, initiates, and advises technical changes and process improvements of all responsible assets. Creates, implements, and monitors programs because of industry changes and standard processes. Partners with the IT facilities department in support of the data center, Electrical, HVAC, security systems, and water detection systems. Oversees preventive maintenance and service work order resolution and performance for proper completion and resolution
We are targeting candidates proficient in Microsoft office suite, and CAFM systems of record.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinates and directs the day-to-day diverse activities (trades) for the Milwaukee and Franklin campus. (i.e. Generation and electrical infrastructure, building automation).

Ensures the efficient operation of all heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing and equipment.

Acts as a consultant for downtown campus for safety and operations related to Electrical infrastructure.

Supports Milwaukee and Franklin team by providing technical expertise directly and through outside resources, researches changes to laws and best practices related to OSHA, and other applicable codes standards to ensure compliance and safety for staff, employees and the public.

Creates, implements and monitors programs as a result of industry changes.

Partners with the Information Systems department in support of the data center for backup generation of critical systems.

Independently leads and/or may be a subject matter expert for projects, including responsibility for managing the scope, budget and schedule. Will develop construction specifications, cost estimates, project timelines as well as overseeing projects to ensure completion dates are within budget.

Negotiates and communicates with internal clients regarding facility operation issues involving both day-to-day and project-related concerns.

Establishes and maintains positive vendor contacts in order to assure continuous, effective facility operations.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree or Associate's degree in Facilities Management or equivalent education and experience. Master Electrician credential preferred
-
Minimum 5 years experience as a people manager with proven management skills including negotiating, leadership, delegation, planning and organization required.

Minimum 7 years experience in building operations, design and construction techniques and standards.
-
Working knowledge of energy management and automated control systems for commercial buildings.
-
Demonstrated project management design and leadership experience on large scale commercial projects.
-
Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills.
-
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all levels in the organization and industry network with the ability to be responsive to changing business needs while prioritizing ongoing assignments.

IFMA CFM designation or equivalent is preferred.
-
Experience with CBA’s and labor unions preferred.

Experience with Johnson and Honeywell automation control systems preferred..
