Summary:

The Website Marketing Manager will be the primary interface for managing day-to-day processes that support our consumer and field technologies, documenting technical requirements for future enhancements, and support key platform integrations between Northwestern Mutual’s internal and external systems. This individual will play an essential role in our pre-client experiences and will be a key contributor in developing new ways to enhance the field experience through our digital marketing capabilities. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of implementing complex solutions to address the unique needs of large enterprises, inclusive of data management, technical integrations, home office and field servicing models, and maintenance of existing platforms.  

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage defects, enhancements, reporting, and integrations for various marketing tools and platforms, with a primary focus on systems that drive pre-client activity such as consumer and field websites, event tool capabilities, social, and newsletters.  
  • Define new data workflows and business processes to standardize how we partner with vendors to create efficiency and scalability for a seamless experience for our field and internal business owners. 
  • Consult as a subject matter expert to execute and inform on other key marketing projects. Develop requirements in conjunction with stakeholders, coordinate execution across internal and external teams, support testing efforts, and assist in launch activities. 
  • Work with partners across marketing on our digital tool ecosystem helping to create communications and training materials that address field feedback. 
  • Primary liaison between cross-functional teams in marketing, product, and engineering throughout the enterprise, along with 3rd party marketing platforms. Ensure delivery of key milestones and regular updates to proper teams.  
  • Manage system documentation, how-to guides, and facilitate training for our front-line partners working with our financial advisors. 
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on best practices with marketing technology, user experience and trends in digital marketing. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment while managing many different priorities.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Information Systems, or a related field  
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience supporting or executing with marketing technology solutions (websites, content management systems, email programs, CRM, social, etc.) 
  • Exceptional project management and people skills. Ability to juggle multiple tasks within a specific timeline and communicate with leadership often to ensure deliverables are met. 
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to combine data with best practices to optimize current programs and processes. 
  • History of developing creative solutions and implementing initiatives that meet or exceed objectives 
  • Team player, comfortable working with design/UX, engineers, compliance/law, etc. 
  • Intermediate level of understanding of how marketing operates and marketing technology tools.  
  • Effectively communicates (written and verbal) and makes recommendations.  
  • Extreme attention to detail; thorough when communicating.
