Lead Vendor Management Analyst

Summary

Define and design strategies to drive business results through technology suppliers.  Work with a cross-functional team of tech leaders and subject matter experts to lead the development and implementation of these strategies through processes, templates, and best practices to deliver on department wide outcomes. 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Business Expertise:  Demonstrate deep knowledge of the vendor management domain and its impact on overall business processes, especially in regard to technology.  Participate in tech workforce strategy and determine workforce requirements across large / multiple efforts. Be the go-to person for vendor management within the technology function with the ability to translate strategic goals into actionable work items.

  • Current State, Future State and Gap Analysis:  Demonstrate ability to independently assess and document current state across multiple processes, business areas, and domains, while helping business leaders document new processes. Ability to think strategically and put together "target state" solutions including related financial and performance modeling.

  • Manage Complexity:  Responsible for driving higher complexity requirements and solutioning and may need to lead requirements gathering across multiple business areas / enterprise.  Design and develop financial and performance models to help govern and influence strategic initiatives and how they leverage external suppliers.

  • Leadership:  Provide consulting and deep domain/business knowledge on vendor management processes and best practices.  Drive and deliver change to the organization while maturing vendor management practices.  Establish strong credibility with Senior Leadership.

  • Project Management:  Proven success and ability to use advanced project management skills to complete work, manage innovation, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Process Improvement: Drive growth and maturity of vendor management capabilities through ongoing ownership and improvement of the processes, templates, policies, and best practices. Utilize data to measure and analyze vendor management metrics and key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement.

  • Communication: Lead communication and socialization of the Tech Vendor Management Office processes with internal partner functions and external vendors to drive change and gain acceptance. 

  • Partnership: Develop a strong cross functional partnership with the embedded HR teams to align on the overall technology workforce strategy as it relates to external workforce demand.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree 

  • Minimum of 6 years of prior experience in a business analyst/business architect position with demonstrated success of financial or analytical experience, including performance reporting

  • Minimum of 3 years of prior experience in vendor program management required

  • Proven collaboration skills, demonstrating the ability to influence all levels in the organization without authority

  • Ability to solves unique problems with broad impact on the business; requires conceptual and innovative thinking to develop solutions 

  • Ability to communicate difficult concepts and negotiate with others to adopt a different point of view

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
