Lead Technical Infrastructure Program Manager

Summary

This role is accountable for the planning, coordination, execution, and overall management for delivering complex, cross-functional technical solutions that generally include multiple work streams that span multiple technical and business products. The Lead Program Manager manages the end-to-end plans (program, communication, and risk) that are inclusive of all of the project work needed to drive the delivery outcomes for these large-scale initiatives. 

The right candidate will possess a strong program management background, will have demonstrated experience leading medium to large projects, and will have experience as an infrastructure or cloud program manager or product manager. This position also demands strong analytical skills and effective verbal and written communication.

This person will need to work a hybrid schedule at our Franklin, WI office.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities ​

  • Accountable for driving large programs with medium/high complexity. 

  • Makes connections across business and technical teams to drive identification and management of inter-dependencies.

  • Execution of project planning activities to include determination of scope, milestones, risks and issues.

  • Drives identification of delivery objectives and sets priorities and kpi's.

  • Accountable for identifying, assessing and mitigating program risks and issues, and removing impediments. 

  • Delivers leadership and stakeholder program updates.

  • Maintain relationships and alignment with key program stakeholders to achieve program goals.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience.

  • Six or more years of project management experience in technology and/or business functions. Experience with project management methodologies or SDLC (systems development life cycle) 

  • Experience with project management methodologies & SDLC.  Working knowledge of project management / agile tooling.

  • Strong Leadership skills

  • Understands how software is developed, tested and implemented as well as technical concepts. 

  • Ability to work closely with engineers, product managers and business leaders.

  • Experience managing large scale, cross-functional initiatives using a variety of delivery methodologies (i.e. waterfall, agile, lean, scrum, etc.)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Intellectual curiosity and a desire to dig into details, learn, ask questions and become the "go to expert" on certain concepts and topics.

  • Leads highly visible multidisciplinary project teams or initiatives; provides thought leadership

  • Solves unique problems with broad impact on the business; requires conceptual and innovative thinking to develop solutions.

  • Impacts the direction and resource allocation for program, project or services; works within general department policies and industry guidelines.

  • Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus      

  • Experience with CMDB, Asset Management (ITAM) and security/risk considerations.
