Corporate Audit Analytics Team is responsible for driving innovation across Corporate Audit & Anti-Fraud function including building continuous assurance solutions, reporting/visualizations, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced analytics. Our mission is to transform the audit & anti-fraud industry through innovation and optimization.

The Data Analytics Lead will be part of the Corporate Audit & Anti-Fraud team and be responsible for working with audit and fraud teams to drive innovation in the function and help lead the Data Analytics program. Data Analytics Lead will report up to the Senior Director, IT & Cybersecurity Audit.  This position includes leading and supporting the development, implementation, and execution of advanced analytic capabilities. We are looking for a candidate with the proven ability to utilize data analysis methodologies and tools to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the audit process. This includes partnering with internal auditors, and Anti-Fraud team to identify opportunities and deliver solutions to utilize data analysis in evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls on a continuous basis, to provide data-driven risk assessments, and automate manual processes within the function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigates existing enterprise data sources, develops queries to obtain relevant data, and develops tools to analyze and identify irregularities or trends that may indicate attempted or actual fraud.

  • Provides strategic and tactical input and develops recommendations for anti-fraud program data analysis and reporting.
  • Assists with incident consultation and fraud technology efforts, as needed.
  • Applies new perspectives, creative problem solving, and inter-departmental connections to develop and improve anti-fraud analytics- likely to include implementation of artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities.
  • Provides strategic and tactical input and develops recommendations for anti-fraud program data analysis and reporting.
  • Help lead and champion the data analytics program, automation, and continuous auditing within the Corporate Audit function.
  • Leverage advance analytics tools to deliver high impact analytics and automate testing.
  • Understand and analyses large data sets to generate insight and identify potential exceptions.
  • Build continuous reporting and/or automation solutions that support risk identification
  • Have strong relationship management, influencing, organizational and execution skills; communicate effectively and ensure that all deliverables are met
  • Be able to take large complex areas and, working with business partners, identify specific actionable analytic opportunities within those areas
  • Be a critical thinker with an innovative mindset, coupled with a track record for creating solutions that are efficient, effective, and essential
  • Develop data-driven analytic capabilities to identify anomalies, outliers, emerging trends and operational risks across the Enterprise
  • Being flexible to add projects or shift priorities readily and efficiently

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in several data analysis and business intelligence tools (Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, Power Query, Power Pivot, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, etc.)
  • Proficient with SQL and at least one programming language such as VBA, C++ or Python.
  • Experience of building, maintaining, and working with data warehouses and working with unstructured data.
  • Expansive knowledge of ETL processes, metrics, data management and business intelligence strategies
  • Strong business acumen, with proven ability in data analysis and interpretation, statistical application, and modeling
  • Excellent project management and organization skills; ability to multitask.
  • Confidence and gravitas in working with and challenging stakeholders.
  • Excellent ability to develop and write impactful reports and presentations.

Preferred:

  • BA or BS in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems/Technology, Business, Finance or with similar technical or quantitative emphasis
  • Relevant professional accreditation (e.g. CIA, CISA, CFE, CPA, PMP, Six Sigma)
  • Understanding of concepts related to audit (Technology & Cyber controls, general IT controls, application controls, finance & operational controls etc.)

Work Experience:

  • 7+ years of data analytics experience with a professional services firm, an internal audit/analytics group, or similar environment.

This job is not covered by the existing Collective Bargaining Agreement.
