An Investment Analyst is responsible for assisting in the evaluation of new private equity and debt investments across a wide range of industries. Specific responsibilities include financial modeling and valuation, conducting industry and business due diligence, assisting in the writing of investment recommendation memos, and contributing to investment committee discussions. An Investment Analyst will also assist in the evaluation and monitoring of our $40 billion private equity and debt portfolio. As part of the investment process, the Investment Analyst will interact with senior investment professionals on a daily basis. The Investment Analyst, operating in a team environment, will be given increasing responsibility over time and high performers can expect career advancement opportunities (Senior Analyst and Associate).
Requirements include a four-year undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, or mathematics and a track record of academic excellence. A broad knowledge of investments, an understanding of economic forces affecting a wide range of industries, proficiency in accounting, strong computer modeling skills, and intellectual curiosity are required. The ability to communicate effectively is also required. The Investment Analyst position is a two to three-year assignment, and high performers can expect promotion to Senior Analyst and potentially Associate.
This job is not covered by the existing Collective Bargaining Agreement.
