What's the role?

The Email Marketing Manager, reporting to the Assistant Director, Campaign Management, is responsible for the tactical execution of email marketing programs. The ideal candidate is an experienced email marketer, with technical expertise related to using enterprise-level email platforms. We’re looking for someone with a passion for process definition, journey building, quality assurance, campaign management, and reporting. This individual must also have experience staying abreast to current and new industry trends and email best practices.The Email Marketing Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of new email marketing programs, while maintaining and reporting on our existing campaigns

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and activate complex email journeys

  • Compile detailed documentation of campaign requirements and business rules

  • Support HTML development through drag and drop user interface

  • Oversee the end-to-end development and activation of email programs, including QA process

  • Ensure high levels of accuracy of all in-market email campaigns through routine checks and balances

  • Provide strategy partners with visibility to email campaign performance by presenting email engagement metrics and relevant insights

  • Monitor deliverability of email campaigns and maintain healthy IP address

  • Manage email reply inbox and route responses to appropriate members of Home Office and/or field force as necessary

  • Partner with Engineering and Product teams through routine daily and weekly meetings, ensuring prioritization of work to align with Marketing objectives

  • Identify gaps in current processes and work with cross-functional partners including Content, Design, Engineering, Product, and QA teams to drive efficiencies

  • Coordinate with internal and external print partners to deliver art files, data files, and conduct quality checks with strategy teams

What this Role Needs: Bring your Best!

  • 3+ years of marketing experience, with a focus on email marketing

  • Experience using an enterprise-level ESP, Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred

  • Experience developing and managing complex, multi-touch email campaigns

  • Experience reporting on email metrics and staying abreast of current industry trends

  • Obsessive attention to detail while being able to work cohesively with cross-functional teams

  • Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal

  • Working knowledge of HTML and AMPscript is a plus

  • Familiarity with CRM or some other form of database management

  • Strong understanding of B2C marketing models while being able to adapt based on a variety of consumer needs

  • Team player, comfortable working with startegy partners, engineers, data scientists, and product managers
