What's the role?

The Client Marketing Manager, reporting to the Senior Manager, Campaign Strategy, is responsible for overseeing various email marketing programs from strategy through tactical execution. The ideal candidate is an experienced email marketer, with technical expertise related to using enterprise-level ESPs. We’re looking for someone with a passion for A/B testing, journey building, campaign management, and analytics. This individual must also have experience staying abreast to current and new industry trends and email best practices.

The Client Marketing Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of new email marketing programs, while maintaining and optimizing our existing campaigns – ensuring our programs maximize engagement and revenue opportunities across our consumer segments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed documentation of campaign requirements and business rules

  • Maintain campaign calendar, driving thoughtful planning among multiple stakeholders to avoid overcommunication to a singular audience

  • Oversee the end-to-end development and execution of email programs, including QA process

  • Monitor deliverability of email campaigns and maintain healthy IP address

  • Develop, test, and activate complex email journeys

  • Execute multiple A/B tests across email marketing programs

  • Support email development with basic HTML coding leveraging AMPscript

  • Evaluate program performance and provide optimization recommendations to business partners, consulting data engineering partners and analytics teams as necessary

  • Collaborate with technical teams to increase connectivity between disparate systems and expand on ESP platform capabilities

  • Partner with Engineering, Product and QA teams to ensure prioritization of work to align with Marketing objectives

  • Identify gaps in current processes and work with cross-functional partners including Content, Design, Engineering, Product, and QA teams to drive efficiencies

What this Role Needs: Bring your Best!

  • 3+ years of digital marketing experience, with a focus on email marketing

  • Experience using an enterprise-level ESP, Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred

  • Experience developing and managing complex, multi-touch email campaigns

  • Experience leading A/B tests and optimizing full life-cycle marketing programs/campaigns based on email best practices

  • Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal

  • Exceptional analytical skills and ability to use data to optimize and identify new opportunities

  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS, knowledge of AMPscript is a plus

  • Familiarity with CRM or some other form of database management

  • Strong understanding of B2C marketing models while being able to adapt based on a variety of consumer needs

  • Obsessive attention to detail while being able to work cohesively with cross-functional teams

  • Team player, comfortable working with design/UX, engineers, data scientists, and product managers
