Collaboration Support Engineer – M365/SharePoint/OneDrive

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced M365 Platform Support Engineer with a focus on SharePoint and OneDrive for Business. The engineer will design secure and compliant solutions and provide Tier 3 M365 support. In addition, experience will include supporting, securing, and maintaining solutions for SharePoint. Also needs to be familiar with Azure AD, Conditional Access, and a variety of M365 applications.

Now is an exciting time as we have several large efforts underway which primarily support our objective to secure and mature our M365 services. The position is on a fun team where the work is challenging and rewarding!

What you’ll do each day:

  • As a member of an Agile Support team, it will be your responsibility to configure, deploy, and support various productivity tools, primarily consisting of M365 Collaboration services specifically around SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and BOX.

  • Drive the resolution of complex problems that impact the enterprise with little direction through hands-on execution and partnering teams to contribute to the resolutions.

  • Keep informed of M365 and Productivity tools industry trends & standards.

  • Partner with product teams to understand user voice and taking that feedback to design solutions that will improve the user experience.

  • Leverage Service Management tools and standard processes for incidents, problems and change management.

  • Handle, maintain, set standards for, and drive performance enhancements and monitoring for the Productivity tool-suite of applications.

What skills do you need?

  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, IT Engineering or equivalent directly related work experience beyond the minimum required for the position

  • 3-5 years relevant experience

  • 3+ years of acting as a Subject Matter Expertise for SharePoint, in a large enterprise where you designed, maintained, assisted with the architecture, disaster recovery, monitoring and performance plans.

  • 3 years hands on experience with Microsoft 365 products including, SharePoint Online, Conditional Access, Azure, ADFS and various Microsoft 365 workloads.

  • 3 years of demonstrated ability or working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, IP Routing, DNS, and Networking fundamentals.

  • Demonstrated ability with PowerShell or various scripting languages to automate and implement solutions at an advanced level

  • At least 1 year of experience supporting a technology and working directly with end-users or a similar role that demonstrates customer empathy skills

  • Proven people interaction skills to include human relations and interpersonal skills necessary to facilitate productive design/solutioning discussions

  • Partners well with others; proven ability to foster collaboration among team members

  • Proven analytical abilities especially in decision making and problem solving

  • Demonstrable ability to handle multiple priorities and deal with ambiguity

  • Good people skills with the ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively

  • Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with immediate team members, business partners, and customers

  • Experience creating documentation around design architecture, blueprinting, BCP plans, technical roadmaps, monitoring, and performance plans
