At the heart of this transformation is our Batch Transformation team within the Infrastructure and Cloud Services department that is revolutionizing the underlying batch ecosystem.

We are looking for a self-motivated and self-driven engineer with a desire to contribute to the DevOps practices while working hand in hand with application teams, architecture, and engineers across the organization to solve complex technical problems.

Competencies :

Must Have Technical Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience 3-5 years
  • 2+ years' experience handling DevOps infrastructure and deployments
  • 2+ years' experience applying engineering standard methodologies in order to analyze, design and develop deploy and support software solutions, and/or infrastructure implementations/upgrades
  • Experience with AWS Services such as EC2, S3, AWS Batch (SQS, Lambda, RDS, Dynamo)
  • Intermediate programming experience in a mainstream language such as Python, Java, Type/JavaScript
  • Experience with Containers and Container Orchestration e.g. Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with UNIX scripting including Bash and Kornshell
  • Strong knowledge implementing CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments and ongoing maintenance to ensure security and compliance standards are being met.
  • Provide occasional on-call support for enterprise batch platforms
  • Knowledge and experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tooling such as Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Proactively looks for opportunities to automate and streamline CI/CD pipelines and processes.
  • Absolutely impeccable communication, ability to translate deep technically complex topics to levels understandable by varying audiences.
  • An application focused mindset, we serve the needs of our application engineers to optimize their delivery in a stable, safe and fast manner to maximize business outcomes
  • Highly positive and collaborative attitude, ability to understand and work through complex large organizational concerns.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bring new ideas and new ways of solving problems to the team.
  • Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision, yet actively interact with other team members.

Nice to Have Skills

  • Solid understanding of networking and security concepts, Linux name-spacing, quotas, etc.
  • Experience in testing standard methodologies
  • Experience with Spring Batch and API based architecture experience is a plus
  • Experience with popular monitoring/logging technologies such as ELK, Splunk or Dynatrace
  • Collect and monitor data to give teams visibility into application deployments and performance
