(CD) business function. This is a critical leadership role within Product
Software Engineering Tech for Field Experience organization. We have
embarked on our flagship multi-year initiative to streamline and modernize
entire Field Compensation and Rewards framework and ecosystem. This
includes driving the overall delivery roadmap; prioritizing the work to
optimize and where possible accelerate business and field impact; aligning
the work to support and enable other strategic initiatives across the
enterprise and deliver the product roadmap with measures and expected
outcomes across all the workstreams.

Primary duties & responsibilities:
Accountable for the Software engineering design, development, test, deploy,
and maintain Field rewards distribution current and modern state business
initiative. Responsible to create and manage the multi-year product
roadmap, seek alignment with key stakeholders both in the home office and
field organizations.

Work with corporate enterprise architecture to identify the Field rewards
business ask and work towards arriving or leveraging NM enterprise design
patterns as part of the solution architecture and delivery of the solution.
Synthesizes approach and maintains key stakeholders apprised of progress,
risks, and results throughout Field rewards product delivery activities.
Communicates project status from Solution delivery to program sponsor,
stakeholders, and CD leaders. Working with business and Digital product
leaders to provide engineering leadership and support to leaders of all levels
of the organization on Field/Total rewards related business capabilities. You’ll
be driving the execution of the modernization roadmap and deliver the
business key outcomes in incremental Agile software delivery. Engineering
delivery tasks this leader to include:

  • Manages multiple Agile teams (typically around 7 teams) and active management of Agile backlog, engineering design, build, test, deploy and maintain the product deliverables.

  • Establish secure software development life cycle (SSDLC) principles as part of the software delivery commitments.

  • Ensures production stability, monitoring, and root cause analysis for their products.

  • Provides technical leadership to team.

  • Establishes, aggregates, and shares team standards and best practices across department.

  • Mentors, guides, and coach engineers within their division for job performance as well as technical and leadership growth.

  • Recruits, hires, and onboards diverse and inclusive talent, ensuring the right mix of talent within team.

  • Ensures production stability, monitoring, and root cause analysis for owned products.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • 10-12 years of professional experience required

  • 5+ years of experience working with modern engineering tools, languages, and practices.

  • 3-5 years of experience leading engineering teams including:

  • Growing engineering skillsets in others.

  • Developing future engineering leaders.

  • Providing direct feedback and performance reviews.

  • Proven track record of successfully designing and delivering significant and impactful technology solutions.

  • Experience developing and leading solution delivery using agile methods.

  • Solid understanding of the business organizations primary domains and business functions.

  • Capable of communicating between Digital products, Enterprise architecture, Data, and Business.

  • Ability to successfully communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences in varying forms and levels of detail.

  • Mentors, guides, and coach engineers within the division for job performance as well as technical and leadership growth.

  • Recruits, hires, and onboards talent, ensuring the right mix of talent within team.


Ideal Skills to Succeed:

  • Knowledge of Java, Spring, Spring Batch, NodeJS, React, Python, and AWS technologies.

  • DevOps

  • Cloud technologies (CI/CD Pipelines, Git/GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS)

  • Modern integration methods (Microapps, Microservice / API, Event

  • Streaming, Secure Data File Exchange)

  • Public cloud (preferably: AWS)
