Associate Software Engineer - Full Stack

On our team you will work with hands on development and delivery of features, with excellent interpersonal skills. Our team applies engineering methodologies to craft, develop, deploy, and support software solutions, and/or infrastructure implementations/upgrades.

 

You will be responsible for developing software and systems using test driven development and continuous integration practices, establishing, and working on monitoring and automation processes. You will move between diverse tasks with cooperation and persistence, helping to bring out the best in those around you.

 

Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • Experience with JavaScript (React, Node.js), HTML/CSS

  • Familiarity working with AWS or other Cloud providers

  • Familiarity with database technologies

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Strong sense of ownership with the eagerness to design and deliver significant and impactful technology solutions

  • Experience developing solution delivery using agile methods and a limited set of requirements

  • Ability to explain technical solutions to both technical and non-technical teams

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • 0-3 years of professional development experience

 

Nice to haves:

  • Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (preferably: Jest, Mocha, Cypress or similar)

  • Familiarity with paired or mob programming

  • Familiarity with git or other source control

  • Container orchestration (preferably: Kubernetes)

  • Infrastructure scripting (preferably: Terraform)

  •

This job is not covered by the existing Collective Bargaining Agreement.
