Associate Software Engineer

Our team applies engineering methodologies to craft, develop, deploy and support software solutions, and/or infrastructure implementations/upgrades. You will be responsible for developing software and systems using test driven development and continuous integration practices, establishing and working on monitoring and automation processes. Job Responsibilities:

  • Applies engineering standard methodologies in order to analyze and develop software solutions.

  • Utilizes established monitoring and automation processes.

  • Conducts code evaluations.

  • Participates in setting team standards and methodologies.


  • Strong Java Development: Java Core, Spring, etc.

  • Experience with engineering processes to include analyzing, crafting, developing, deploying and supporting software solutions and/or infrastructure implementations/upgrades

  • Experience working with AWS or other Cloud providers

  • Familiarity with database technologies

  • Experience with a messaging system (IBM MQ, Rabbit MQ, Apache Kafka)

  • Experience with application server (IBM Websphere, Weblogic, Jboss)

  • DevOps experience

  • Strong sense of ownership with a proven track record of optimally designing and delivering significant and impactful technology solutions

  • Experience developing solution delivery using agile methods

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of professional development experience

Nice to haves:

  • Familiarity with git or other source control

  • Container orchestration (preferably: Kubernetes)

  • Infrastructure scripting (preferably: Terraform)

This job is not covered by the existing Collective Bargaining Agreement.
