What's the Role?
We are looking for a passionate Associate IAM Engineer who will be an active member of the Privileged Access Management (PAM) team as we secure the credentials and secrets in use throughout Northwestern Mutual. As an engineer on the team, you will be a member of a highly skilled team that is looking to add motivated engineers who are excited to work with a variety of PAM tools and methodologies.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Works under general supervision

Handles repetitive issues independently but may need assistance from others on team for more complex issues

Partners with team members on more complex issues.

Is a member of the PAM team with the expectation to learn and become proficient within areas of the domain.

Assist in engineering solutions for management of privileged access within our cloud, on-prem, container, and server environments.
-
Assist in designing, implementing, and managing our cloud and on-prem PAM tooling infrastructure.
-
Create, maintain, and improve documentation for internal team and customer use.

Respond to and resolve security and availability incidents.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information systems, or equivalent work experience in the IT field

Has a basic understanding of Identity and Access Management technologies and tools

Aptitude to grow and align with security practices

Exhibits appetite for continuous learning & improvement.

Competency with any of the following languages: Bash, PowerShell, Python, Go, C++, Java, Python, Javascript, or C#

problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Developing documentation, testing, and automation skills.

Sense of ownership and the ability to work with a limited set of requirements.

Ability to explain technical solutions to technical teams and non-technical teams.

Interested in career progression within the discipline.
