Associate Data Analytics Engineer

The Associate Data Analytics Engineer on our Enroll Acceleration project will be tasked with responsibilities that falls under both the Analytics Engineer and Data Engineer role. This person will help maintain the analytical infrastructure, extract, transform, build pipelines, provide basic statistical summary, and load data from around the enterprise and/or external vendors. The goal is to ingest, combine, synthesize and structure with clear business definitions in preparation for analytical consumption! Our team falls under Accelerated Underwriting within Life Insurance.

This resource will consult with data consumers such as Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and Business Partners to curate meaningful datasets that can help drive business decisions. This candidate will be creating repeatable processes by applying engineering best practices in order to design, develop, deploy and support data analytics products in an agile framework!

  • Build the understanding of the business domain and the meaning of the data in it to accurately identify key and associated data which can be extracted, transformed and loaded for effective consumption downstream.

  • Build an understanding of the data flow so that data can be shared across the company with one source of truth being the goal.

  • Build an understanding of data validation routines and purpose

  • Ability to identify data quality issues and their root causes. Propose fixes and design data audits.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.

  • Self-motivated and seeking to learn


This job is not covered by the existing Collective Bargaining Agreement.
