Assistant Director Product Sales Support(S6)

What's the role?

As the guide on all planning modules and multiple products, educate and provide sales support to the field through case consultation via inbound calls. Collaborate across departments and divisions to support strategic mission and goals by leading large, high impact projects. Deliver training on planning, products, markets, sales concepts and related topics to advanced audiences (e.g. field leadership and senior management). Deliver experienced guidance to the Regional Sales Team on planning topics, products, sales concepts and markets to help them achieve Network Office goals. Featured speaker at events in the home office or in the network office on planning, product and market topics. May be responsible for team lead responsibilities or people management of a small group.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Educate and provide sales support consultation to the field on the integration of planning and products. Considered the deepest subject matter expert on all planning modules and a variety of products.

Collaborate as a subject matter expert in planning, products and/or markets on divisional and departmental projects to support the strategic mission and goals within Distribution Services, Product lines and NM at large. Leads high impact projects.

Educate senior leadership in the field and home office on planning concepts, products, markets and sales concepts. Speaker on more advanced topics.

As the featured speaker, educate the field on the integration of planning and products; messaging is often persuasion based and sales driven.

Responsible for leading a team or people management of a small group to include communication; coaching and staff development; performance management and staffing.

Bring your best! What the role requires:

  • B.S. degree in business, finance, marketing or related field desired.
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in a financial services environment focused on presenting and educating the audience on financial planning and a multitude of financial products.
  • FINRA series 6 required.
  • In-depth understanding of financial services products and services including financial planning.
  • Excellent knowledge and application of consultation skills relative to planning and products.
  • Excellent ability to consult with the field on complex topics and scenarios and propose effective, needs-based solutions.
  • Ability to identify and address the problems, opportunities, wants and needs of the field and their clients in a suitable manner.
  • Multiple designations such as CLU, ChFC, CFP, CFA, CASL, MSFS.
