Assistant Director, Private Client Group

Summary

The Assistant Director Private Client Group (PCG) will work with Advisor Practices, Career Distribution, enterprise partners, industry experts, and the field to improve how NM supports our best practices getting better, and build PCG into a community that supports, encourages, and attracts growth in its members.

This role will facilitate and drive strategy development and execution as it relates to Private Client Group support, services and operations. The role would work with Distribution Strategy leaders and industry experts to mature the PCG program.

  • Be tightly connected to research and development of the PCG program within the financial services industry and within Northwestern Mutual.
  • Serve as a thought leader to internal business partners and to the field around the PCG program.
  • Support and serve as a subject matter expert to priorities and initiatives that are integral to PCG in order to advance support across all practice models.
  • Work to develop cross-functional relationships to create PCG advocates with Home Office Business Partners and the Field as well.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Help PCG advisors build a profitable integrated business that puts them at the center of their clients' financial lives.
  • Consult to field leadership, career advisors, PCG practices and their teams.
  • Responsible for building out, maturing and supporting the PCG program.
  • Facilitate and drive strategy development and execution as it relates to PCG support, services and operations.
  • Work with Distribution Strategy leaders and industry experts to mature PCG as well as develop and execute
  • Serve as a thought leader to internal business partners and to the field around the PCG Community and Practice Excellence.
  • Develop cross-functional relationships to create PCG advocates with Home Office Business Partners and the Field as well.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or progressively responsible work experience.
  • Minimum ten years of progressively responsible experience in financial services or other business, finance, and marketing functions, with experience in client-facing business consulting and management or other related experience.
  • Strong leadership skills including but not limited to strategic agility, priority setting, managing and measuring work, organizational agility, influencing skills, and drive for results. Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, decision-making as well as skills in business and financial analysis.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) with ability to design and deliver presentations and create written reports with regards to both operational results and future operational strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple large scale, complex projects to independently solve complex business problems in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven ability to navigate and quickly establish rapport at all levels of the home office and third parties.
  • High degree of self-motivation and thought leadership to take the initiative for sharing information, contributing towards group goals and being accountable for results.
  • Experience with Financial Services Practice Management or Ensemble business model philosophies/programs and/or business consulting.
  • MBA desired.

Compensation Range:

Pay Range - Start:

$97,930.00

Pay Range - End:

$139,900.00
