Assistant Director -- Private Client Group & Investment Marketing

As the Assistant Director, Private Client Group & Investment Marketing you will lead brand strategy, positioning and activation in the fastest growing component of the business, with the goal of driving consumer awareness, affinity and long-term growth. You’ll collaborate with marketing and internal, cross-functional partners as we build on our brand’s heritage and drive conviction and adoption in the investment space.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Leads day-to-day strategy, thought leadership, management and execution of marketing campaigns –  including partnerships, influencer, PR, content, client and field stories – that align to the brand and Private Client Group positioning and value proposition, thus elevating the brand and the role of high-net-worth and investments in the integrated planning approach

  • Marketing lead and core day-to-day partner/counsel with cross-functional teams including product marketing, Wealth Management Company, career distribution, communications and field to build the investment strategies and co-marketing plans and roadmap that drive business impact and consistent on-brand strategy/messaging within the investment and high-net-worth space

  • Leads development of strategic integrated marketing briefs and program management, and creative assets that align with brand strategy, goals, and KPIs 

  • Drives earned media 

  • Coordinates scheduling and prepares initial agendas, documents and presentations to support brainstorms and briefings specific to these markets 

  • Serves as the primary internal point of contact for all investment and high-net-worth market-specific project details, approvals, schedules and marketing calendar; anticipates and resolves problems associated with projects

  • Regularly prepares reports and presentations specific to consumer marketing plan; supports development and mining of insights, trends and client experience, as well as executive and partner presentations  

  • Manages in-market performance real time and measures KPIs, including development of post program analysis

  • Tracks and maintains project budgets and billing.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, advertising, communications or related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in consumer advertising and/or marketing field, including brand strategy and investment marketing.

  • Client/corporate marketing experience in the investment field preferred.

  • A proven self-starter who’s able to self-direct the management and execution of programs from inception through completion – on brand, on time, on budget.

  • A strong communicator both in written and verbal form.

  • A strong collaborator, who is comfortable working with various levels and functions across an enterprise, including upper management.

  • Must be able to influence without authority, requiring strong relationship skills across various department disciplines.

  • Brings a consumer lens to work every day. A “trend seeker” who’s able to contribute to discussions on consumer insights, cultural trends, etc. – must be able to apply insights to persuasive, inspiring creative briefs integrated strategies.

  • Data-driven decision maker.

  • Strong foundation of branding best practices, strategies and insights.

  • A creative thinker who can apply diverse thought and experiences to optimize brand results.

  • Professional, energetic, inquisitive personality who embraces disruption and challenging the status quo.



This job is not covered by the existing Collective Bargaining Agreement.
